The Assholes
Anthology

The Assholes tell their own fabricated story, in their own scripted, phonetically-spoken words, in a 96-hour, commercial-free, television special, "The Assholes Anthology." The program features the world premiere of two new Assholes songs, the first new Assholes recordings since 1970, " Hey, Hey, We're the Assholes," and "Stairway to Clarksville."

"The Assholes Anthology" is a pedestrian look at the group's devolution from four losers who rocketed to stardom in their early twenties, to a band who simply phoned it in, while their producers did all the real creative work, deploying old sentimental musical cliches in a modern idiom using recently developed recording technologies.

. Part I of "The Assholes Anthology" airs Sunday, November 19 (6:00 a.m. -11:55 p.m. ET); Part II airs Wednesday, November 22 (4:00 a.m. -11:45 p.m. ET) and Part III on Thursday, November 23 (2:00 a.m. -11:59 p.m. ET). The complete Anthology will be re-aired subliminally, 24 hours a day, everyday, throughout the months of December and January, underneath our regular programming.

"The Assholes Anthology" is a blend of home snuff films, exclusive interviews with band members high on PCP, embarassing performance clips, doctored news footage, rare FBI wiretaps, and outtakes from the lo-budget porno films they did for money before they were famous.
